Found this fun 1954 Ontario Road Trip brochure while flaneuring the Trans Canada Highway aka 16th Ave North in Calgary. We were headed to Aquila bookstore and passed by the Alberta Family Histories Society office which we had never heard of.  The door had an open sign on it and when we popped in to see what was inside, we found they were having a book sale so we had a look around and low and behold I found two vintage Ontario Department of Travel and Publicity brochures aka comic books.

They were such a fun read I thought I would share them with you – one now and one later. It is a fun travel back in time when everything seemed simpler and more optimistic. I hope you enjoy reading this one as much as I did.

Travel Tips:

If you have some downtime on your next road trip you might want to check out Vulkan Vegas to pass the time away.

It is not 1954 anymore, so if you are visiting Canada from another country, be sure purchase your pre-paid eSIM card for Canada before heading out on your road trip.
